Glass is an amazing material because it allows you to have sturdy and durable support without visually ruining the space. Not that long ago, glass balustrades weren’t really a possibility. The glass wasn’t strong enough so it couldn’t support you or provide the necessary level of safety.

Today, things are different. Modern technology, including the Super Spacer technology that Rama Glas uses for all its products, allows balustrades to be made out of glass. Tempered glass that’s used for them is not only strong but it also rarely breaks, as it requires a lot of structural pressure in order to show a single crack.

Open Up the Space

Glass balusters have the great benefit of not obstructing the view. They are made of glass which makes them entirely transparent. That gives the impression of open space. It also makes the area seem bigger. Usually, balustrades catch the eye (in all the bad ways), which is why their glass counterparts are so popular. Glass also allows more light to permeate the space, thus making your entire room seem bigger, lighter, and brighter.

Modern Interiors

If you’re on a modernisation kick and are looking to remodel your home so it looks less outdated, then introducing glass to your spaces is a wonderful idea. Glass goes well with pretty much all other materials but, because it isn’t often used in interior design (at least for balustrades), it seems more contemporary and fresh.

Easy to Clean

One of the biggest benefits of glass is that it’s extremely easy to maintain. Cleaning balustrades is usually a task none of us is too keen on doing. However, glass staircases are so easy to maintain, that the task of cleaning them almost doesn’t even fall into the chore category.
